Overview

The Senior Brand Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and family-owned company that is a leader in the small appliances industry.  This experienced commercial leader will be accountable for driving category growth through the management of the marketing mix inclusive of product assortment, channel management strategies, pricing, promotion, and commercialization.  They will work very closely with sales to set and achieve annual growth targets through partnership, planning and executional excellence. This candidate will have input to the innovation roadmap to help achieve long term category goals.  The Senior Brand Manager will also work with internal marketing communication partners to analyze and optimize digital assets and PR activation growth.


Responsibilities

  • Develops annual plan to achieve category growth targets in partnership with sales, integrated marketing, and product development.
  • Architects channel management and distribution strategies. Works with key accounts to develop and improve BISSELL product line in-store productivity, gross profit and assist in maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Forecasts category trends to input to long term planning and product roadmap processes.
  • Understands category performance through data analysis to input to monthly forecast reviews and annual sales planning processes.
  • Collaborates productively with cross functional partners, acting as the category’s main point of contact with key account managers and sales leadership.
  • Manages P&L for impact, analyzing the ROI of investments in the marketing mix (pricing, promotion and media).
  • Polished presenter of complex marketing and product development information/recommendations to senior management, customers and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong financial skills. Understanding of financial frameworks and pricing strategies to drive long term value.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • Degree minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
  • Experience level: 10+ years’ experience in consumer products. Experience managing product life cycle and product assortment, analyzing syndicated data sources (Circana, Nielsen) to monitor and manage performance, communicating to a broad range of stakeholders and partnering with Sales teams to achieve results.
