Overview

The Regional Commercial Marketing Manager is the local commercial marketing expert for a dedicated Region in Europe focusing on France and owns the category business plans for selected key markets. Shared responsibility for contributing on the improvement of the P&L for the categories. Ensures delivery on the set market Business targets in the year and long term Ambitions as laid down in the 3yr plan, as well as delivers on the (sub)category ambitions. Sets market share targets for the key responsible markets and builds the 4P Marketing Strategy (in cooperation with ‘up-stream’ product-management and commercial grid) for the responsible markets, as well as executes the plan together with the involved stakeholders within commercial grid, like Shopper Trade marketing, Marcom and performance Marketing and operations.

Identifies Growth opportunities (in existing markets and channels within Europe) and translates them into compelling Growth strategies to execution in close cooperation with the  above mentioned stakeholders. Ensures in close cooperation with the Upstream Product Marketing team, propositions are relevant and winning for the local market(s) and is instrumental in the delivery on our growth ambitions.

 

In this role you report directly to the Head of Commercial Marketing Europe, partnering together to deliver on the full European plan and supports in presenting to European leadership team, as well as executive team members where required.  You are a key member of the respective Country team and will be present in the Go To Marketing/Channel management meeting.


Responsibilities

For the selected key markets / region you will be responsible for:

  • Creates the Regional BISSELL marketing and channelization plan, based on Business/Market Plan consolidation and portfolio 4P strategy, including the budget for his/her selected key markets, and translates this together with the commercial stakeholders into execution plans with clear priorities of Where to Play & How to Win 
  • Aligns with cross-functions on the initiatives and enablers of the marketing plan (eg. Shopper marketing, Integrated Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales)and leads local marketing initiatives.
  • Drives the (sub)-category NPD launch critical path and Activation calendar ensuring sustainable delivery on Growth objectives.
  • Works seamlessly with the Upstream International Product Marketing team to ensure the roadmap delivers on local market needs and supports the Growth Ambitions and targets.
  • Is the first point of contact for the selected markets across the full BISSELL portfolio, as well as the category expert in the European commercial organization.
  • Ensures product Launches and deliverables are delivered in time and in full to support a perfect launch
  • Drives together with end2end commercial and functional stakeholders, operational excellence to ensure delivery on growth ambitions, , Contributes to profitability across the lines of the P&L of the categories.
  • Responsible to define the local portfolio, promotional plan as part of the marketing activation plan, understanding the ratio of promo-rate vs P&L 
  • Shared Responsibility for defining and implementing pricing strategies for the BISSELL categories and markets that maximize financial objectives as well as optimizing competitive position in the marketing place
  • Supports the Head of Commercial Marketing Europe and GM for high quality input for annual and quarterly business planning, such as Plan, Financial updates, 3yr Planning
  • Closely monitors the EU market share development and acts upon trends with high sense of ownership and urgency – performance analysis and proposes actions for improvements
  • Ensures through providing fact-based insights on market needs and (financial) opportunities the portfolio and roadmap is tailored to local market needs and supporting our Targets and Growth ambitions

Qualifications

What you bring to the table

  • Master’s degree would be desirable with 8 years (or more) of professional experience, specialized in downstream marketing capabilities.
  • Able to understand how to translate consumer and market needs into marketing mix development and drives the go-to-market strategy setting.
  • Strong Analytical capabilities and curiosity. Commercial and Business Savvy, able to think conceptual and strategic, while hands-on executor.
  • Strong influential skills and able to rally an end2end organization behind your Sub-category ambitions.
  • Change leadership/management, Impacting and Inspiring Communicator, Interpersonal/collaborative skills across markets, functions & cultures
  • Experience in international fast-paced and hands-on environments
  • Experience in projects ownership and driving the full product execution, co-working with cross-functional, multi-cultural teams (MI, Supply, Marcom, the Commercial Triangle, Finance, Legal, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in Performance measurement, Marketing Mix Optimization,
  • Seniority to drive projects and a business independently.
  • FMCG and / or Consumer Goods experience
  • Fluent in English and native in French
